Get It Forged is operated by StanHattie LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform at getitforged.com.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and password (stored as a one-way hash).

Project Data: Product descriptions, photos, and specifications you upload for manufacturing classification and matching.

Usage Data: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, features used, and browser type. We do not collect precise location data.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We store your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI-powered manufacturing classification and factory matching
• To generate RFQs and communicate with manufacturers on your behalf
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, project updates)
• To improve our platform and user experience

3. AI Processing

Your product descriptions and photos are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI for classification, matching, translation, and patent analysis. This data is sent to Anthropic's API and processed according to their data usage policy. We do not use your data to train AI models.

5. Data Retention

Your account data and project data are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your user record and sessions are removed immediately. Project data is retained by email address for recovery purposes and will be permanently deleted upon request.

6. Your Rights

• Access: You can view your data through the dashboard at any time.
• Correction: You can update your account information through your account settings.
• Deletion: You can delete your account from the account panel. For complete data removal, email hello@getitforged.com.
• Export: Contact us to request an export of your data.

7. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

• gif_session: Authentication session cookie (HttpOnly, secure). Essential for login.
• gif_lang: Language preference (EN/ES). Stored in localStorage.
• Google Analytics: _ga, _ga_* cookies for anonymous usage analytics.

8. Security

We protect your data with HTTPS encryption, HttpOnly session cookies, rate limiting, parameterized database queries, and security headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options). Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2-SHA256.

9. Children's Privacy

Get It Forged is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
